What is UTET ? Full Form of UTET

UTET Full Form - Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test.

UTET exam is a State level exam which is conducted by Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE). The Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) conducts the UTET exam for the candidates who want to become a teacher. The UTET exam is conducted in two parts i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. UTET Paper 1 is for the candidates who want to teach class 1-5 and Paper 2 is for the candidates who want to teach class 6-8.

UTET Primary Level (Class I to V) Eligibility Details

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation with 50% Marks and 1 Year B.Ed Examination OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.

UTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII) Eligibility Details

Bachelor Degree and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Norms OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education.

Method of Submission of Online Application Form:

STEP-1: Visit the official website- ukutet.com.

STEP-2: Click on the 'New Registration' link

STEP-3: Fill in the Online UTET application form 2025 and note down Registration No./Application No.

STEP-4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature

STEP-5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit cardand net banking

STEP-6: Print Confirmation page forrecord and future reference.

UTET New Exam Pattern 2025 & Marks Distributions

All questions in UTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of UTET.

1. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
2. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
